Asparagus

I love asparagus. I love it. I especially love it broiled a little too long. The tops get crispy and nutty, and you can pull the skin off and eat the stringy insides.







Sometimes I eat it raw, taking one piece the way I used to take a spaghetti noodle and soften it in my mouth while the water was boiling. It makes me feel like I'm eating grass.

Lately I've been making a lot of asparagus, and I eat it with a fried egg and parmesan cheese on top! Also I love eating it as a finger food and telling people that it's good manners, cause it is! Consult any etiquette book. I would never eat it raw. I just bought canned asparagus to see if it was any good. I will report back to you. -M.
