Raise your hand if you just finished the bar

OH OH! ME! I did! I did!

(And everyone cheered at the end. And it was great!)

Ceramics

My ceramics class ended a few weeks ago. On Wednesday I went to Studio One and picked up two pieces I had glazed. I had no idea how the glazes would turn out, and it was a little surreal to find these things glazed. I barely recognized them. I'm very much looking forward to going back next session and digging right in to hand building. Clay is awesome.
A close-up of the side. It looks like an old wall.
One of the spirals broke off this piece, but now it makes an excellent spoon holder.
The bottom is pretty neat too.

Studying for the bar is hard

And the amount of support I have gotten while doing it is amazing. This is a rose my neighbor clipped and dropped in my kitchen window. Not pictured: cheering e-mail from friends old and new; home cooked dinners; answer to crazed phone and text messages; visits from people who will sit close to me; a baby I borrowed just to hold.

Live is beautiful, ya'll.

Thank you for the jam, buffalo,* fingerpaint,* and shoe*

I'd been meaning to take pictures of June sitting in front of various calendar pages, but then July came so quickly. Good thing there's jam.
